What’s Your Mission Statement

What is the Mission Statement for your life?

It’s a powerful coaching question for you to ask of yourself. Think about it, every great organization has a mission statement.  Why?  Because it is a written representation of their core values, and it is a powerful way of reminding themselves of who they truly are.

Think of your life as your organization.  You are the C.E.O. of YOU, Inc.  What does your company look like?  What are your core values?  What is the meaning of your existence here on earth? What’s your service?  What or who are you an answer to?

Your mission statement is the essence of who you are, taking into consideration all of your strengths and challenges, hopes and dreams,  gifts and talents,  abilities and passions.

Having a clear understanding of your life’s mission is important because it becomes your guide as you make decisions. When you are intentional about only choosing those options that are aligned with your values, you stay true to your life’s mission.  You will make better choices in relationships.  You will make better career choices.  Areas of health & wellness will improve.

When you choose outside of your values then you stray away from your mission, you become someone you’re not. You lose your authenticity when you choose outside of your core values, and you begin to live in ways that are beneath you.

Here is a powerful coaching exercise designed to help you develop your own personal mission statement. Remember to answer as if you are already “that person”

I am at my best when I am free, creative, calm, confident, coaching, sharing wisdom and when I feel God’s presence all around me.

I prevent times when I am stressed, rushed, not prepared, or when I feel as if my personal space is crowded.  I also try to prevent times when I feel as if I have to give up on my dreams and settle for less, or when I feel as if I have let others down .

I enjoy my work by finding opportunities where I can create, lead, and share wisdom. I love feeling free. I love to work from home. I am relentlessly dedicated to building my business and to developing my brand. I give myself permission to do the work that I know I am capable of in order to grow my business.

I find enjoyment in my personal life through pampering myself and sharing quality time with loved ones. I love to sit still and sip herbal tea on my balcony. I love to listen to music. I enjoy solitude and early mornings. I love taking long walks.

I find opportunities to use my natural talents and gifts such as writing and speaking.

I can do anything I set my mind to. I own a location independent businesses teaching classes online, coaching and promoting self-help resources, speaking and hosting conferences, motivating and inspiring in the areas of personal and professional development.  My business generates a generous income consistently because my profits are in my purpose.

My life’s journey is about being an example of spiritual excellence and growth in the areas of personal and professional development. I demonstrate the power of authenticity in everything that i do. I show that there is freedom in being true to oneself, in all facets of life .

The most important people in my life are my mom and dad, my loving spouse, my daughter and my closest friends.  Of me, they will say that impact their lives in positive ways and that because of my example they made great choices .

My most important future contribution to others will be teaching others how to live by faith, follow their heart and to take their brain along, and to allow God to guide decisions.

I am energized by rest, relaxation, scents of lavender in my quiet alone time.

I am healed from past hurts. I am released from all toxic relationships.

I incorporate the following attributes (values) into my life:
